Volkswagen Touareg Park Brake Actuator

The VW Touareg EPB actuator system uses one motor per rear wheel to clamp the park brake shoes. Over time the internal plastic gearset strips, or moisture and road grime work into the housing and corrode the motor windings. When one side fails, the control module throws a fault and disables the entire system — leaving you with no park brake at all.
