    Definitely the replacement part needed.

The front passenger door suddenly refused to latch, bouncing open when closed and then (horror of horrors!) flying open during a right-hand turn on a large roundabout.

Magically “fixed” itself a few times. Only to fail again.

Found, ordered and used the Parts Factory YT video to fix the prob.

Confident enough in the process and result to say the replacement and a looks and feels superior to the OEM part.

    Full-on 100% max-star recommended.
