Ranger PX Blower Package: Motor and Fan Wheel Does Not Mean Speed Controller

Keep the assembly being ordered separate from the whole blower-control system. The selected Ranger PX offer contains one motor and fan-wheel assembly. It does not include the blower resistor, speed controller, wiring or heater box.

That distinction matters when a parts enquiry begins with a fan-speed complaint. The symptom does not establish which component is faulty, and the motor package does not include every possible repair item.

Confirm the later PX application first

The Ranger PX RHD two-pin blower assembly is limited to the listed Australian ute and cab-chassis applications, 03/2018–04/2022, with the 2.2L P4AT or 3.2L P5AT turbo-diesel engine.

Its listed reference is AB3Z19805A, with AB3919846AB recorded as the earlier reference. Keep that reference relationship with the exact application. It is not a statement that the assembly covers every PX engine, build or steering configuration.

Compare the actual motor and wheel

Actual product-gallery view of the motor-and-wheel package; the controller and resistor are not included.

Check the two-pin connector, wheel, three mounting ears and moulded housing against the original. Use a full-unit view before comparing the detail socket. A similar wheel or the same pin count alone does not establish a match.

Do not infer an electrical test procedure from the two terminals. If the original unit differs, ask for confirmation using its reference and accessible photographs rather than assuming the housing can be adapted.

Make the workshop parts list unambiguous

Describe the planned supply as a motor-and-wheel assembly and explicitly note the excluded speed-control parts. Ask the installer to identify any additional components needed after diagnosing the fault. Keep vehicle wiring and heater-box requirements separate from the product image.

The site’s existing blower-motor explanation covers the general component role. This guide answers what is in this particular PX package.

What to send for a fitment check

Provide the VIN, build month, engine code, right-hand-drive confirmation, original reference and labelled photographs of the complete unit, socket and mounts. Use vehicle-specific service information for removal, electrical tests and installation; this article does not prescribe those procedures.
